Vacation (part 2)

Okay now my vacation takes me down to Modesto with the rest of my family. All of my sisters were in town visiting. Also my grandma Bratton was in town visiting, we had a great time. Although the whole time we were there Hailey was on a bad temper roll and I was right there with her. I couldn't handle her anymore that trip.

But while we were there the girls went to the park 2 times which they loved. We took them swimming 2 times and Savannah was a little fish we couldn't get her out of the water.

A. Becca, Gabe, Hailey, Savannah, A. Laura and Alex and I all went to see Wall-E. The girls LOVED that movie. In fact all the kids were cracking up during the movie. During the movie the girls needed to use the potty. So of course I had to take them. Well, I thought hey I should go. I went into the stall and my money falls out of my pocket into the toilet. LOL Luckily right before that happened, I had flushed someone else's pee away. But still it was gross to reach in. Talk about hand scrubbing after that! I wish I had disinfected for my own hands. LOL

One day the aunts and great grandma watched all the kids so I could go with my parents and brother up to the temple in Sacramento and do baptisms. We had a lovely experience. My parent's bishop came to help with the baptisms and so did Jeremy's brother in law Sean. Dad and I were able to print up names and bring them in to be scanned. It was a much quicker process with the new Family Search. I totally forgot to bring a plastic bag with me and an extra bra, so basically my step mom and I were blow drying my bra by hand. LOL Luckily I had left a bra and some other things in a plastic bag back at my mom's in Sacramento. I forgot Jeremy had it in his car. I think it was truly inspired. I got the bra and plastic bag that I needed AFTER the fact. But it came in handy for me to change when we went to eat. After the temple we went out to a neat little diner and had an awesome milk shake and burger/fries. Just typing this makes me hungry.

Becca, my dad and I watched Lady in the Water. Let me just say: Why did I ever think it looked scary? LOL! It was far from it! Becca and I kept laughing at one of the characters in the movie. Just her accent and what she would do made us crack up. My dad kept scaring us even though we knew it wasn't scary. He is quite good at that.

At some point while we were there, Ashley and Becca made cookies and we all ended up playing a board game. Scott came over from Aunt Becky's and Laura with Alex were there. We had a blast and laughed way too much! I kept coming up with songs in my head so I would say them out loud and then they would get stuck in Becca's head. LOL!

Another point in time while there I got a new hair cut! I love it too. The gal Danielle, from the Paul Mitchell beauty school did a fantastic job. Becca and I went with Grandma and we got our hair cut. Becca also plucked my eye brows. It was nice to be pampered!

Hailey got her first bee sting as well on this trip. We were out side chit chatting away Becca and I, and Hailey stepped on the dead bee Aunt Becca killed. I didn't know it was there at the time and neither did Becca. Hailey ended up being fine.

One of the nights there I helped Becca make an AWESOME turkey meat loaf with spaghetti sauce. YUM YUM! The missionaries came over to eat and then we did a family home evening about Joseph Smith and his vision and the restoration. And Oh my goodness! LOL We played a game we hadn't played since we were all the age of my little girls. It was called HIDE THE EARRING! My parents used to hide my step mom's red earring and and we had to find it. My nephew Gabe, Savannah and Hailey all played it. All of us older siblings had to help as well. But it was funny to watch the kids play a game we truly loved when we were little. We had a great time.

We spent the 4th of July at Aunt Becky's house. We ate, swam and laughed. I even went swimming. She had a tankini that I borrowed and put my shorts over. We discovered that Savannah's floaties had a hole in them. So she was constantly patting her floaties and say yep it has enough air. Sometimes she would say other little funny things. I wish I had a good memory to write it all. Later that night we did the fireworks and ended up naming the little sections of groups we were in. Scott, Ashley and I were the peanut gallery. Cathryn and Becca were the saddle bag's (named by my dad). The kids were just the kids and the others were the old ladies. lol We would rate how well the fire works were.

Saturday rolls along and we packed to go back to Oregon. Also on this day we went to Aunt Becky's again and we did pedicures and facials. FELT SO GREAT! Cathryn is in school learning to do facials among other things and she did a great job. Becca wants to go to beauty school and so she did the pedicures. That day Laura and her boyfriend Alex took me to Jeremy's and dropped me off. Jeremy fed the girls and I hot dogs and other things then Krista helped me to get to the airport.

It turned out I had to wait another 1 1/2 hours at the air port because it was delayed. The girls got something else while waiting and Savannah managed to spill her drink all over her and the floor even with a lid. I don't know how she does it! lol They played with the pay phones and some toys then we finally boarded our flight and away we went back to Oregon! Dave was waiting and we got home and went to bed!
