Family Vacation (part 1)

The girls and I went to California for about 3 weeks. It felt great to get out and take a husband-cation. LOL No offense Dave, I still love you. :o)

We went to my mom's and on the first day we met up with my brothers and my family in Modesto. We went to see The Incredible Hulk. I am not going to lie, it wasn't my favorite movie. The kids all seemed to enjoy it but I thought ehh it's alright. Too many chase scenes for me!

While I was in Sacramento we hung out with the girls cousin Jerret a lot. The girls had fun with him. My parents are moving so I tried to help them with packing. I think I was more of a hindrance at times with having the kids and being on vacation. SORRY MOM! :o) We did however go through BUCKETS of pictures with my mom. Oh the funny things we didn't remember back when we were little. We sure laughed a lot at the photos. Sometimes I wasn't sure what my mom let me dress the way I was. I'm scared of those 80's clothes now. LOL

We took the kids to see Kung-Fu Panda. I thought it was a funny movie as did my brother. My mom was with us and she was dang tired. She passed out for a bit during the movie.

My sister Becca and her children came to visit us for one weekend. My kids love their cousin Gabe and now they have a new cousin Gabbi! It was nice just hanging out together. We stayed up one night going through some old x-rays from the office and Jeshua had her laughing her head off. The boy LOVES to tell his stories and put his expressions in on them. LOL We took the kids swimming at Jeremy and Krista's. That was the first time that Savannah in a few years braved her self to get back in the pool. Once she got in we couldn't get her out. It was Gabbi's first time in a pool and Gabe was like a wild fish!

Jeshua and I spent some time playing Family Feud. Yes we are nerds, but we like to play that game. Jeshua and I also decided to make dinner one night and take it to Jeremy's and also take the kids swimming again. The dinner turned out awesome and Uncle Jeremy actually got in the pool! YEAH! Savannah got to visit them earlier then I did so she spent a couple of hours in the pool. At one point she went to jump in the pool and forgot her floaties and stopped but ended up skidding into the pool to Uncle Jeremy. She ended up with some pool (road) rash. But in the end it healed fine.

We did Savannah's birthday and then headed off to my dad's shortly after on the 28th. (Savannah's birthday, which is a new post I did but it was posted under the Savannah's Randoms posts..so to read that scroll down.)




Now I am sure that I left something out..so I may add to this later.
