Woodburn Bombing update..

The police arrested a man named Joshua Abraham Turnidge. He was a 22-year-old guy renting his a home in Salem. "His arrest quickly followed the release of police surveillance photos of a "person of interest" in the case" which turned out to be him. "Friday's blast killed two police officers, badly injured the Woodburn Police Chief, and also injured a bank employee."

"The case apparenently goes back to November, with the purchase of some cell phone parts in the Bend, Ore. area. Investigators believe that the bomber used a cellular phone and cell phone parts when manufacturing the bomb. That implies that it may have been set off remotely."

"Friday morning, a caller made a bomb threat against the Wells Fargo branch that was next door to the West Coast branch on Highway 214, just east of I-5. Police came out and found a device which they called a fake, and determined that the threat was a hoax. But later, a West Coast Bank manager spotted a green steel box that had been placed alongside his bank branch. He called 9-1-1 and again, a second time, law officers responded. Believing that the second device was also a fake, they took it inside the West Coast branch, where it blew up."

"Turnidge is charged with Aggravated Murder, Attempted Aggravated Murder, Assault, Possession of a Destruct Device, Manufacture of a Destructive Device and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. He faces a Tuesday arraignment in a Marion County courtroom."
