She put up a fight

I'm in another room, I hear Savannah crying. At this point I am positive Hailey has hit her. I ask what's wrong. Savannah says "She put up a fight." I ask her what? She says again "She put up a fight." So I have to ask if Hailey hit her and she says yes. Apparently Hailey hits Savannah with her Woody doll. So I ask Hailey and she is all proud of herself and says "With this" as she holds up Woody. So, I pick her up and placed her in the corner and warned her that she will not come out if she screams and kicks. For once she listens and only cries. I talked to Savannah a little more and say "Why did she hit you with Woody?" She said "She hit me on the finger and put up a fight." Lol. Okay at this point I am not getting anywhere with this little one. I ask again why would she hit her with Woody? Were you trying to get Woody? Did you want to play with Woody? Savannah says no she didn't want to play with it. At this point Hailey says "NO! My Woody!" And runs down the hall and grabs him and runs back to the corner. I said to her "Did I say you can get out of the corner yet?" We really didn't solve the problem of why Savannah got hit. When I go back to Hailey, Hailey is hitting the wall with Woody. I tell her if she hits anything or anyone again in my house with Woody today I will put him away. That didn't set well with her. She tells Savannah she is sorry and now they are happy as can be watching cartoons and coloring. Go figure.
